A unique place of worship
A listed building, the Church of the Holy Spirit was gifted by Lady Maud Ernestine Gladstone in memory of her husband Henry Neville Baron Gladstone. The foundation stone was laid on the Feast of Pentecost in 1937. The church is thought to be unique, combining contemporary 1930s design with a Byzantine concept, and was designed by the architect H. S. Goodhart Rendal, a nephew of Lady Gladstone.
Our main service is Sung Eucharist at 9.45am on Sunday morning.
Evensong takes place at 6 o'clock on the second Sunday of each month
